Old Barn

I created this from an old barn picture I had that I took right here in NC. I used the HDR method of course. Then I used some burning, dodging, and blending for this effect. I enhanced the red and yellow. I also used a grey layer for the clouds. Here is my result. I love North Carolina.

I Love Photoshop

I created this piece by using a farm picture of mine and using the black and white effect to make it infrared. Then I used a layer to blend it slightly to a leaner burn. I then used the burn brush on the ground and area around the barn to make it darker. Then I used the dodge brush to make the barn and clouds lighter. I played with the occupancy of these two brushed for the effect making the effect slight.

I turned the lady into BW after sizing and removing the background around her. Then I used the infrared effect on her. Pasted her to the picture then used the burn brush on her. This helps her match the mood. Then I used a brush occupancy to 9 and a smaller brush for the red on the barn and ladies dress.

I created fog on the image by creating an empty layer then choosing a very light grey color. I set the brush to dissolve with the occupancy to 30. After I brushed over the parts I wanted fog on I used the Gaussian Blur at occupancy 12.5 .

Now I have my Spooky image.

The Night of the Living Dead

Last night I was into dark mode. I used my pictures to create zombies. They look morbid and scary but it shows my creativity. I downloaded different brushes for photoshop to create these effect. I used Adobe CS4 to create these creepy Zombie images. Then I used skull pics off the Internet for the skull effect in some of these pictures. This was my result. It is a little out there for some people but I like how they came out. These can also be good for Halloween pictures. This is my own work on pictures that I took myself.

Adobe Creative Suite 4

Joe just installed Adobe Creative Suite 4 on my computer. I can't wait to try it out;-)It has a 3D effect. I will upload it to my download list for you guys to download and try. Most my friends already know where that is. I will let you know what I think of it.

This is how I came up with this set!

I was sitting at Abilene Regional Hospital visiting my mom who was very ill, I was looking at the benches at the pond located in front, and I could not help but think about all the lives that pass through this hospital. I was inspired to do this set. Think about all the people who sat on these benches visiting loved ones in the hospital. Some Made it and some didn't. I thought about it and felt a chill. That is what this set is about.

Model Mayhem

I have created a new Model Mayhem account. It is a great place for photographers and models to connect. It is a wonderful way to work on your photographic skills. It costs nothing to sign up. However I suggest you bring someone with you when you are meeting people you really don't know so well. Its always smart to be safe. Email me for the link to my account. I have requested to test this product. After seeing my pictures the makers have agreed to let me play around with it. I am still getting used to it but here are some of my results!

HDR AND TONE-MAPPING

I have been studying HDR and Tone-Mapping software's on the Internet. I have found many interesting software's for these effect. I am in the process of acquiring some of these programs. One is called WUKONG. It looks like it would be a lot of fun to play with. It's not out yet but I do plan on getting it. Also another program I love is still the Dynamic Photo-HDR toll by MediaChance!

The MAGTFTC Rifle Range in Twentynine Palms, CA

I was the Staff-Nonfire at the rifle range this last week. I managed to snap off a few shots. I did not shoot. I was accountable for my units shooters. One of the many responsibilities as a SSGT.

Dan Kuns decorates his own shop. He created all the artistic effects in the shop like the volcano and elephant you will see when you go inside the shop. He has a creative talent. Hes also known for his tattoos. I recommend this shop for people in the Twenynine Palms area who are looking from a tattoo. You can't go wrong with this tattoo shop.

EASTER PICTURES - HAPPY EASTER

Here are some pictures I took over Easter. This is my daughter, Catherine. She is my most precious treasure;-) I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Happy late Easter. It was Catherine's first Easter and she had a lot of fun. We had a lot of fun with her as well.

On Black

I changed the background on these pictures taken at the living desert. I think they look better on black. Just my opinion!

My Windmill Picture

This was taken out by Palm Springs CA at sunset! I used the Dynamic-HDR tool to enhance the picture. I like my result! I like the way the windmill look out that way. There are so many of them;-)

CHOAS

This came out interesting. I shot up the tree. It came out kind of cool! Have you ever had days like these. I have chaotic days sometimes. This pictures relates to that. I like the pattern of this tree. I used the HDR tool on this. You can find this image on my flickr page!
